WHY I CREATED THE UNSEEN RIDER
I entered FMX without a clear pathway.
A lot of what I learned came through trial and error, injuries, mistakes and years of trying to understand the sport for myself. Some of those experiences helped shape my career. Others could have ended it.
Early in my career, I broke my femur, knocked out teeth, dislocated my shoulders, damaged my ankles and was knocked unconscious more times than I can count.
Not every injury could have been avoided. FMX will always carry serious risk. But when I look back honestly, some of the decisions that led to those injuries may have been different if I had better guidance, greater awareness and somebody experienced in my corner.
The Unseen Rider is not about telling riders to avoid risk or stop chasing big goals. It is about helping them understand what they are doing, why they are doing it and whether their progression is actually preparing them for the next step.
This is the framework I wish I had understood earlier.
